Join Pak Army as JCO and Soldier in 2024
Vacancies are open to join the Pak Army as Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO) Naib Khateeb and soldiers (Sipahi) for the year 2024. JCOs hold a rank lower than a lieutenant but higher than Havildars. The application process is now open and will remain so from February 19 until May 9, 2024. Interested candidates can submit their applications at the respective Army Recruitment and Selection Centers (ASRC) where they intend to take the test.
For those aspiring to join as soldiers (Sipahi), registration can done by visiting the nearest army recruitment center.

Eligibility Criteria to Join Pak Army as JCO
Individuals from Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
Height and Age Requirements
JCO (Naib Khateeb)
- Age: Between 20 and 28 years old as of May 10, 2024.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet, 3 inches to join army.
- For candidates already serving in the military, their age should be between 22 and 35 years, with a service duration of 1 to 16 years.
Sipahi (Soldier):
- Age: Between 17 1/2 and 23 years.
- Candidates with a graduate degree receive a one-year age relaxation, while relatives of martyrs, those injured in war, and individuals with a valid driving license receive a two-year age relaxation.
- Minimum Height: 5 ft 6 inches (167.5 cm).
Additional height requirements for specific positions are as follows:
- Clerks and Cooks: 5 ft 3 inches.
- Military Police: 5 feet, 8 inches.
- Sweepers: 5 feet, 3 inches.
- Nursing Assistant and Drivers: 5 ft 6 inches.

Academic Qualifications to Join Pak Army
Junior Commissioned Officer JCO (Naib Khateeb)
- Attested Degree by HEC of Dars-e-Nizami from a Deeni Madrassa.
- To join Pak Army, a minimum FSC or FA qualification is required.
- Proficiency in Arabic, Qira’at, and Hiz-e-Quran is considered an additional qualification.
Sipahi (Soldier)
- Matric or higher qualification for soldiers and nursing assistant.
- Candidates with computer knowledge will be preferred for clerk positions.
- Middle or higher qualification for cooks.
- Uneducated or primary level education for Sweepers
Individuals from religiously diverse backgrounds have a special quota to join the Pakistan Army as JCOs or soldiers.

No, all the courses offered by the Pakistan Army have a maximum age limit of 28 years.
