Medical Cadet Entry 2025 Selection Process
The selection process begins with a computerized written test that includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering both intelligence and academic subjects. Candidates who pass this test proceed to an initial medical examination. The physical fitness test includes a 1.6 km run, push-ups, crunches, pull-ups, and ditch crossing.
After clearing the medical and physical assessments, candidates appear for a personality test and an interview conducted by the General Headquarters (GHQ) selection board. Those recommended by the GHQ board then undergo a final medical examination at the nearest Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
GHQ finalizes the selection based on each candidate’s overall performance throughout all stages of the process.
Selected candidates enroll in a five-year MBBS program at an Army-administered medical college. Those pursuing BDS complete a four-year program at Army Medical College Rawalpindi. After passing the final professional examination, all candidates undergo 22 weeks of Basic Military Training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.
