The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has set out the registration and exam dates for the MDCAT 2024. The MDCAT is the compulsory test for medical students to get admission to public and private medical colleges in Pakistan. The Medical and Dental College Admission Test plays an important role in determining the eligibility criteria for medical college admission. This yearly MDCAT test will be valid for three years.

Schedule and Test Date of MDCAT-2024
The registration process for the MDCAT exam will begin on August 5, 2024, and continue until August 19, 2024, with a normal fee of 8,000 PKR. If the normal registration period is missed, late registration will be available until August 26, 2024, for a fee of 12,000 PKR. For international exam centres, the normal registration fee is 40,000 PKR, while the late registration fee is 50,000 PKR. The MDCAT exam for 2024 will be conducted on September 22, 2024.
PMDC MDCAT 2024 Exam Authorities
The University of Health Sciences will oversee the MDCAT exam in Punjab. Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, will handle the entry test in Sindh. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University will manage the exam. The Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will administer the MDCAT entry exam in Balochistan. Karakoram International University will be responsible for the exam in Gilgit-Baltistan. Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University will take charge of the exam at international, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad centres.
PMDC MDCAT Entry Test Cities and Stations
More than 30 districts across Pakistan will concurrently administer the MDCAT test in 2024. Riyadh and Dubai will serve as international exam centres for entry tests.

Pattern of MDCAT-2024
The paper-based MDCAT exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, conducted in English. The weighting of subjects in the MDCAT entry exam will be as follows:

The MDCAT exam is divided into three difficulty levels: 20% easy, 60% difficult, and 20% hard.

PMDC MDCAT 2024 Registration Process
For the registration of MDCAT 2024, candidates have to submit their online application on the PMDC MDCAT registration portal. Firstly, register the account by entering the necessary details, like name, father name, CNIC, email, and password. Secondly, after account creation, enter the required details, like the contact number, CNIC issuance date, and date of birth. Finally, submit the application, and the system will generate a fee challan. Pay the fees online using a credit or debit card or by paying the fee challan at a nearby Meezan Bank branch.
